The QENTOL, YEN/ W̱SÁNEĆ Marine Guardians are asked to share their knowledge and stories of the KELŁOLEMEĆEN all over BC.

This new limited-edition storybook aims to restore the connection between KELL̵OLEMEĆEN and W̱SÁNEĆ people.

Open the new storybook by the QENTOL, YEN/ W̱SÁNEĆ Marine Guardians Program (the Marine Guardians) and you’ll be delighted by the vibrant, pop-art style illustrations of each of the Marine Guardians and graphics of KELȽOLEMEĆEN, also known as killer whales. The story draws in readers of all ages with fun facts about three types of KELȽOLEMEĆEN presented using key terms in SENĆOŦEN. The book is called KELȽOLEMEĆEN: The Introduction, and is intended to be the first in a series of storybooks by the Marine Guardians.

In 2024, we released our first activity book that features games for folks of all ages to learn some SENĆOŦEN words, connect to nature, and dive into exploring some of the unique marine creatures in the Salish Sea. Have fun learning marine SENĆOŦEN terms through activities including nature BINGO, mazes, word searches, crosswords, colouring pages and more! Available for purchase from our office.
