KELŁOLEMEĆEN (Killer Whales) T122 & T046s

July 29, 2025

On July 29, when we headed out on the water, our thermal imaging cameras in Swanson Channel alerted us to killer whales travelling North. We routed in their direction and quickly found them with pleasure-crafts following. The whales were travelling North and then flipped South, slowly making their way to Satellite channel and further South. These whales were the T046s and T122. Since these whales had no whale watchers following them, we left in an attempt to allow them a peaceful day, which was wishful thinking as two vessels soon located them. With straitwatch on the scene, we continued our departure.

All photos are taken with a 200-600 zoom lens.
