T123s at Java Islets

While kicking off our canopy kelp monitoring for the season at the Java Islets we were interrupted by members of the T123s as they cruised from SNEUES (Monarch Head) towards QENENIW̱ (Gowland Point on Pender Isl.). We landed our drone and turned our vessel off for an hour as the whales made their way, all we could do was watch!
