KELŁOLEMEĆEN (Killer Whales) T019s

While heading out to conduct BRUVS on August 13, our team came across the T019s in Swanson Channel, heading South. These whales are well known in the Salish Sea and due to their celebrity, they are often surrounded by whale watching vessels. We were lucky enough to have a moment with them with no other vessels around, except for one vessel we flew our whale flag for. We took identification photos and continued on our way, leaving these whales without vessel disturbance. These whales continued south, and were later picked up by whale watchers.
