On May 09, 2025, our team encountered two humpback whales (ḰENES) while traveling towards East Point (TEḴTEḴSEN). We first spotted Graphite, who was breaching and peck slapping. Graphite then started heading north, first through Tumbo Channel (ŚḴEUWEWEĆ) and then towards Galiano Island. 

Divot, the next humpback we encountered, was just off Turn Point (ŚÁNNES), along the CAN/USA border. As our workday drew to a close, we were fortunate enough to take identification photos before heading home.
