KELȽOLEMEĆEN in the W̱SÁNEĆ Inlet
September 17, 2025
While completing work in our office our team received notification of killer whales close to home, in the W̱SÁNEĆ Inlet. We headed to shore and had just missed the whales near our office so jumped into our truck and set out further North. We arrived at the beach access in perfect time to watch the whales pass. To our surprise there were approximately 10 whales from multiple different family groups. The whales were spread out across the Inlet and we were not able to identify every individual but we believe there were members from at least the T036As, the T123s, and the T099s. It is always a pleasure to see the whales in the most minimally invasive way possible, from shore!
